The Civil Society must engage in Reforms.

Now it is your turn to talk: The Civil Society.

Because you and me must be a part of this process.
Well, the bill is being drafted, discussed and debated by ten member committee who are all
experts and thinking intellectuals. Civil society members with legal expertise are involved and engaged with legal hawks in discussions.

It surely is no small task to frame laws for anyone and it indeed is an involved exercise that requires deep understanding of legal aspects and vision.

But the job has to be done and it is time that it is done to plug all the loop holes deliberately left for easy escape for all the corrupt minds.

Civil society must be involved now. That is YOU and ME.

We know by now, our politicians will never draft a bill that will meet our expectations simply because, had they been sincere and honest, with national interest at heart, in the last sixty years, we would have had effective laws in place and we would not have seen Boffors, Telgi scam, 2G scam, Adarsha scam, CWG scam, Hasan Ali fraud and many more.
That is why, we need to support Anna Hazare and his movement against corruption, misrule, poor governance and criminalization of politics.

Express yourself NOW...  what the civil society expects from the experts on the committee.

How to catch the criminals of this corrupt practices in the society who have been looting this country for long and going unpunished.

We want every corrupt person to be caught, punished and thrown behind the bars. The money and properties recovered and set an example for others not to ever even think of indulging in this national loot.

It must be treated like anti national activity and the severest of sever punishment must be given to reflect this sentiment.

All thinking people express your idea about the laws you want. You will be satisfied with.

That you feel, YES, Finally, Justice is being done and done in time.

Stop playing dirty games.

This news is a proof

The demand by Anna Hazare and his team of experts was absolutely right in asking for Video shooting for the transparency in debates and discussions.

Let the rot behind the doors be exposed. Let the video cameras show us, who is playing dirty with us?

This news report in the media about PAC Tamasha on April 29, 2011 only proves how serious our politicians are about stamping out corruption and punishing the guilty.

In fact, they are busy settling the scores now among themselves and they care a damn about tax payers money being looted.
The demand by Anna Hazare and his team to video shoot all the proceedings, debates, discussions of such committees to let civil society see, who is who, is then justified.

Let common people know who is playing the mischief and who is a good cop and a bad cop.

Why not? After all, people have the right to know,  Are our elected representatives working  responsibly or not? Do they have national interest at heart or petty politics? Are they serious, sincere and honest in their intentions or fooling around with civil society?

This situation emphasizes once again the need to strengthen People's Movement led by Shree Anna Hazare against corruption.

Civil society can not sleep now.

Civil society once again from all walks of life, all corners of our country will have to assert by coming out on the roads in support of Anna Hazare and his movement against corruption and corrupt politicians

.
2G scam, CWG scam, Adarsha scam, land scams, Air India scams, Defense scams, How does it matter to them?

Their interest is in the loot and that is how the bitter political opponents like BSP , SP and Congress ganged up together to make sure corruption campaigns and efforts are defeated and their loot goes on and on with no questions asked. Otherwise, they are bitter political opponents..

The gang just comes together to defeat the very purpose of such committees. You scratch my back I scratch yours. Keep looting this country, and our loot, we keep in Swiss accounts through people like Hasan Ali. Who can stop us?

Can Civil society? Anna Hazare? Arvind Kejariwal? Kiran Bedi? Bhushans?

This arrogance must be stopped. And can't go on and on and on.

And the only way to deal firmly with this arrogance is to once again show  Power of the People behind Shree Anna Hazare. The tsunami that sent shivers and  jitters to these arrogant politicians.

The time has come again to give a message... Don't take people for granted. We are not jokers and not suckers, this time, we want to see results.

PS. Unless we participate ourselves and support Anna in his mission which he is
fighting for all of us and for clean and good governance, the 73 year old Gandhian
can not make it on his own. His power is You and Me.The People.

PS. You surely can do this bit from your end as a support to this people movement.
Please forward this to all your contacts.

Digvijay Singh, Explain to civil society.

Mr Digvijaya Singh,Will you explain to civil society?

Digvijaya Singh questions on national TV channels.

Question : What has Justice Santosh Hegde done in Karnataka as Lok Ayukta?

He said further, he may be good as a person but has he stopped corruption in Karnataka? Hegde in Lok Ayukta of Karnataka has not been effective in curbing corruption.

So his question is, how can he (Santosh Hegde) be on the drafting panel of Anna Hazare for Lok pal bill ?... - -- -- -- Digvijaya Singh.

Mr Digvijaya Singh civil society is asking you:

With the same token will you ask your PM to step down? We considered him as a nice, clean person but under his leadership look how many scams took place? And we believe it is just the tip of the iceberg.  He too is not effective in curbing corruption?

If you are sincere, honest man with integrity, come in front of national TV and  ask your PM to resign first.

Before talking against Justice Hegde, Anna Hazare and questioning their credibility and integrity, you need to demand resignation of ... Your Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar.

Because there are charges against him too. You never uttered a word when IPL scam took place? Sugar, onion, garlic, pulses prices shot up sky high and living became hell for common man.

Where were you Digvijaya Singh?

Media was reporting with visual coverage on tons and tons of wheat that was rotting in the godowns and outside, where were you Digvijaya Singh? Which minister was responsible and why did you not ask him to step down on moral grounds?

When 2G scam took place you did not come on national TV and asked A.Raja to resign? When CWG scam took place you did not ask Suresh Kalmadi to step down on moral grounds?

Will you ask your CM of Maharashtra to resign on moral grounds because he has charges against him too that he has acquired a flat in Bhakti Park society in Wadala under Chief Minister's discretionary quota meant for economically weaker section by showing wrong income?

Ask your Home Minister of Maharashtra to resign because 26/11 happened when R.R.Patil was Home Minister then. He lost the moral right to stay in power after 26/11. Today R.R.Patil  is still the Home Minister of Maharashtra?

Do you think all these people have the moral right to stay in power?

And finally, according to today's news report  in HT, dt. Apr 23, 2011, is your own credibility not under question as a politician or a public figure?

This case is registered in July 2008. It says and I quote,  with your political power you have been pressurizing authorities to keep you off the hook in this land scam.

What right do you have to stay in any public office or even as Congress General Secretary? If  you and your party believes in morality, it is high time you first prove your own credibility.

What moral right you have to question others credibility ?

May be all politicians like you, and many others have come to think that civil society can be fooled. But remember, only sometimes, not all the time.

You are insulting our intelligence. We, the civil society do understand who is fooling with us. and who is honest.

Civil Society is waiting to hear from you on the national TV channels.

Finally...The People Power Wins!

VICTORY
of the People, By the People and for the People.

Anna Hazare, the humble, selfless leader of masses becomes India's one voice! Saying it loud and clear...

Enough is Enough. We have had enough of you!

It is Just the beginning. Demolish Corruption.

We need many reforms in our electoral process that would stop criminals, unsocial elements from entering into politics and in our governing bodies. We need to stop these looters from entering into political system. We need to stamp them out.
But we need more and more people to join this  movement and strengthen the efforts of 73 year old man who is fighting our battle, really speaking.

You have just seen in five days, people of all faiths, cast, creed were together in what we experienced in the last five days with Anna Hazare was a movement by non political, common, ordinary people telling these rulers...

Enough is Enough. Don't take us for granted. We wont let you loot this country.

The message was loud and clear.

But hello.....the movement has just begun.

We must make sure, it is kept on. More and more people must participate to support the movement with Anna. What a phenomenon. No one was paid to come to rally support. It was all spontaneous and not politically staged drama as few skeptics are saying,

Don't be a pessimist. Next time, don't stay in the drawing room. Don't just keep blaming others. When your turn comes to show, Yes, You are with Anna and the fellow citizens, Just join them.

Play your small role in a big way.

As a matter of fact, what India all over showed was, there are no divisions, religious, social or otherwise among common people. Young collegians, school students, old and retired, men, women, working  class, businessmen, housewives, working ladies, children, all came out in support of Anna Hazare, a staunch Gandhian, a strong believer in "Satyagraha" and non violence.

He took the country by storm and caught the imagination of ordinary masses.

No West or East. No South and North. India became one with no borders between under his spell. It was a peaceful movement that spread like wild fire not just in India but across the Indian borders too.

The social divisions are created by politicians for their own political gains.  It is proved once again, People's Power is ultimate, unbeatable and it can create Tsunami.

The time has come to unleash people power.
When your turn comes, show, you have a say in what you want and how you want your government to function.

Do it now and you will be the power to Change.

Do we have different laws for Ministers ?

Do we have two sets of laws in India ?
One for ordinary citizens and one for Ministers?

I was shocked to read this news in HT today. (3rd Apr2011 pg- 8)

If you read the news report, you would be thinking, if that was you, just an ordinary citizen, you would have been arrested and put behind the bars at that very moment for such a criminal activity.

Yes, I bet,  you or me would have been in the jail. Because, carrying loads of
CASH on you without the permission of RBI is illegal while on tour to foreign country.

But if you are a minister
, you become a special person with special position and special considerations. So the law applied is different. Carrying cash in excess of Rs 7500/- is a criminal offense by law.

The law says, as a traveler, you can carry max 2000 US$ in cash on you and 3000$ by way of traveler's cheques.
That is RBI rule.

This minister of cabinet rank and a member of legislative assembly was carrying in person, US $ 25000 in traveler's cheques, (Rs11.25 lakh) 75,000 UAE Dhirams ( Rs 9.14 Lakh) in cash, and Rs 0ne lakh Indian currency in cash.

This is the way, money made by corrupt practices goes into foreign Banks such as Swiss accounts and similarly people like Hassan Ali are used by politicians and businessmen to park their funds in overseas accounts. This is a loot and it is going on in day light.

Is this not a mockery of our law? Our justice system? Really, the investigations by commissions or CBI or standing or sitting committees is an eye wash.

The rich, powerful, politically well connected can get away with murder. And the ordinary waits to get justice for years.

Next time when you vote,...Think,  who are you voting to power and why?
