Dear Arnab Goswami,

Congratulations to you and your team.

You and your team have been doing a great job in presenting, reporting news and conducting debates. You try your best in striking max balance in your debates and get opposite views to balance the debate. We can see your skills in keeping it fair. And that is why we feel you are just too good professionally..

But Arnab, with all due respect, today one thing struck me about selection of people on the panel and I thought let me add my perspective about it. Here it is.

The same faces of elite class, and so called intelligentsia from the same society (no offense meant to anyone personally) like Vinod Mehata, Suhail Seth, Nalini Kumari, Patchi Karkria have hardly any positive perspectives to offer in TV debates.

A- They are not rational and balanced in their views,
B- They think when they are asked to express their views, their views are of the majority people. Certainly not so. Ground zero realities are not reflected in their opinions.

I am sorry to say this , I am saying this from the expressions they often use in the debates on the national TV channels.

Making comments like...

Cronies of Anna Hazare, trying to hijack constitution and parliament house, it is a tamasha, Drama, Navtunky, comments by Suhail Seth and Vinod Mehata are outrageous...

Their logic, thinking is bizarre and irrational. They all and others like them are entitled to enjoy their freedom of speech, I respect it too. They can have their personal views. But certainly not on televised debate on national TV where serious issues are discussed and debated. Where civil society is looking for balanced, rational and impartial views and inputs. Where common frustrated man on the street wants to know who is fooling around with him or her for the last 63 years.

People like Suhail Seth, Ranjana Kumari, Vinod Mehata or Vinod Sharma have hardly anything to add to intellectual debates and discussions and also have more questions than answers or solutions to issues being debated on national TV Channels.

Have they ever tried to listen to common people? I think they need to be good listeners.

Sitting in London, New York or their Air conditioned rooms, they will not know the pulse of common people on the street who are totally frustrated, disgusted today with dishonest, corrupt political class. It is none of these who are suffering but the common man.
All politicians, and people from elite society, like Suhail Seth, Vinod  Mehata, Vinod Sharma, Ranjana Kumari have no clue why common people, young and old came on the streets to support Anna Hazare who led lakhs of people with Gandhian approach. Non-violent, peaceful protest  against miss rule, poor governance and corruption.

It was a spontaneous support by ordinary people and therefore it soon became people's movement because citizens of this country are fade-up with the corrupt political system and corrupt governance.

Dear Arnab,

Honestly,  wouldn't it be better to get the cross views from civil society members who are non political, not attached to any political party and can present views of the large population? The thinking people who have balanced, rational views ?
We don't really want to listen to same people over and again because we can see they have no new views to offer or subscribe to.  Their elitist comments are fine in their cocktail circuits but not on TV debates because we are serious today after 63 years of looting going on.

Listen to this, why do I say what I say.

Ranjana Kumari, Suhal Seth, Vinod Mehata, Vinod Sharma asking...

It is a job of the parliament to make laws, not of civil society.

Yes, they are right,  we know that well, but their questions are wrong. they need to ask  parliamentarians ...these questions...

What have been they ( elected members to parliament ) doing for the last 63 years? Why have they not made strict laws in the last 60 years which could have booked the culprits, the corrupt politicians who are let lose to loot this country?

Let them raise these questions in public forums instead of discrediting people like Anna Hazare or Baba Ram Dev.  That will be a positive contribution to make things look better. Or else, we know the political minds will keep playing politics.

What are these questions thrown by so called intellectuals in the TV debates?

What is Yoga Guru doing in politics? He should be teaching Yoga.

Why?  Yoga teacher can not protest? Is he not a citizen? A man on the street, a teacher, professor, worker, housewife, a student, a doctor, have no rights to protest against government? What kind of a logic is this?

If you apply the same logic, Suhail Seth should be only talking about his advertising business, Kapil Sebal about Law, Vinod Mehata about journalism.  I think, it sounds like, only these few people who think they belong to intellectual class have the right to voice opinions. Others can not.

I was annoyed when a very high positioned, senior person like Mr Padgaonkar of Times group (Managing Editor?) said,  Baba Ram Dev instead of going on hunger strike and fast, he should ask his one crore followers not to pay bribes.

Can a Managing Editor of Times Group say such a thing on national TV debate?

Mr Padgaonkar, with all due respect to you, pardon me for asking this question but because I have not understood the logic of your suggestion to Baba Ram Dev, I am asking you...

Do you mean to say, if one crore followers of Baba stop paying bribes, Corruption and scams in this country will stop? A Raja, Suresh Kalmadi, Qutorochi, Hasan Ali, Adarsha, Lavasa and many such scams where crores and crores of tax payers money is looted by politicians, government officials, bureaucrats would stop?

Seriously, with what logic and rational Mr Padgaonkar is saying this in a serious debate on national TV ?

Mr Padgaonkar, it is the common people who are suffering because of corruption on lower level when going to police stations, ration office, passport office, electricity water dept, RTO office, at customs, at octroi, at all government offices, at Sachivalaya.

Now you will say, stop paying bribes and go to court. Fight against corruption legally. Stand up for your rights. You are right, we are doing it now. Standing up for our rights collectively. Because, we know well, it is a huge task to do it individually on a personal level. It is easier said than done..

Today if civil society is asking these questions by coming on the street and supporting Anna Hazare and Baba Ram Dev, Don't blame them. Stand with them.

To lead civil society,  you need to have an honest, sincere leader with a vision and a plan, a leader who can mobilize masses on national level like Mahatma Gandhi. Today, ordinary people found that leadership qualities in Anna Hazare and Baba Ram Dev. And that is why it has become a mass movement, people's movement. People who just have drawing room discussions and debates are really not the people who can change things and make any difference. Because they have only questions and no answers.

Dear Arnab,

You are doing an excellent job of exposing these fake politicians. It is a kind of people's crusade and movement you are leading by using your channel. But to make it more effective, please invite civil society intellectuals, from various fields who are not attached to any political party on your debates. That will be real reflection of the civil society views.

Of course, this certainly does not mean all participants on your debates are irrational, I must name those who are very balanced. Ms Suhasini Ali, Chandan Mitra, Aupam Kher, Nalini Singh, I have heard are absolutely balanced. Especially views of Nalini Singh and Miss Ali were totally rational in their intellectual analysis about present political situation in India. And how it needs to be viewed rationally in the total context.

Dear Arnab, finally, the civil society would be happy to see new faces of people who can add to our perspectives. Fresh views, new thinking from different professions. Like IITians, Medical professionals, Senior advocates, Businessmen of integrity. teachers, professors, Principals and many others. From the real civil society. And your viewers will know the mood and sentiments of civil society.

Once again Arnab, great job done by you and civil society deeply appreciates your contribution.

My best wishes and regards,

Divide and Rule or...

 Divide and Loot... By Congress

Don't let these two come together.
Divide them, Demoralize them and Discredit them.

May be Manmohan Singh government thinks, civil society can be fooled like we have been fooling for the past 60 years.

When Anna Hazare's peaceful, nonviolent movement gathered support of aam admi from all over India and from world over, it was a big shocker for PM Manmohan Singh's government. When the support base started growing and ordinary people like housewives, men, working women, youth of this country, students, old, retired, freedom fighters too joined Anna Hazare and echoed his sentiments with full support.

The writing on the wall was very clear for Congress and cunning politicians that they are on the quick sand.

So corrupt politicians like Digvijay Singh, loyalist to Neharu Khandan who are only used for dirty political games got into their nasty ACT

The cunning plan was instantly put into action by such congressmen to Discredit, demoralize and divide, civil society members.

In short, Divide and Rule and then Loot. Congress has been doing this for the past 60 years and mastered the art with fine tuning.
Now Baba Ramdev is being used to divide civil society and demoralize Annas movement against corruption. Congress is doing its best

Special treatment, special considerations, top senior ministers meeting Baba Ramdev at the airport. Imagine, high ranking Ministers like Pranab Mukharjee and Kapil Sibal who never went to meet Anna Hazare, when 72 year old Gandhian was on Uposhan? ( fast ) What a surprise? And Baba Ram Dev was given red carpet welcome !

I always believed Congress means Mahatma Gandhi and all those who followed him are staunch Gandhians as Congress keeps claiming true Gandhians.

Then the question arises ...How can Congress treat a Gandhian like Anna Hazare with such a disrespect? The answer is very simple...

Congressmen are not Gandhians and not followers of Gandhian ideology. Congress has been using and misusing Mahatma Gandhi' name for political gains. And that's it. Everything else is politics and only politics

How Congress approach on Lokpal Bill and corruption scams

Create a division between Anna and Baba Ram Dev. Create divisions between all supporters and create a confusion among civil society and then Rule.

What Ram Dev Baba' is demanding is what Anna Hazare too is demanding and there are no divisions. Anna Hazare took up  Lokpal bill which is again about corruption and accountability.
Baba Ram Dev supported Anna Hazare openly. But Congress for their political benefits is using Baba Ram Dev now to divide civil society.

But honestly, Congress is insulting the intelligence of civil society. We know the name of this game which is being  played with us for the past 60 years.

Enough is Enough. Stop fooling around with civil society.

We are with Anna Hazare and we are also with Baba Ram Dev because they both are demanding what one billion people of this country are demanding. No less.

This is a message for civil society not to get confused by what you read in the print and electronic media. These are planted stories very cleverly placed by politicians or media to confuse ordinary people.

I want you to forward this mail to all your contacts to keep the public pressure on the government.

Finally we know..It is the people Power that will win.!

When Fukushima fails Japan

Is India government more capable than
Japanese government?

Dear Friends,

This mail I received below gives frightening first hand account minute by minute about what pursued  immediately after March 11 earth quake in Japan and the tsunami thereafter.

If Japanese scientists and technical experts who the world considers the brains in technological advancement got so panicky, confused, and didn't know what their next decisions, immediate steps must be to avoid nuclear disaster, imagine something on this scale happens in India, what will be the consequences? And who will pay the heavy price?

Do you think, anybody from our governance and administration will be as quick as Japanese were in the thick of disaster when time was the essence and every second was important to ACT?

Do we have that capability and sense of urgency in our administration to make decisions on war footing basis to save lives of hundreds and thousands?

In India, first the political blame game will start, when the people will be suffering or dying. Bhopal is a classic example we have been watching where thousands lost lives and many are suffering and still suffering for the last thirty years and no justice done?  Our politicians are so insensitive and selfish that they go to any length to fool around with citizens. Today, everyone of them is trying to convince the local population and citizens that it is all safe and we are  learning our lessons from every disaster.

Honestly, what did this world learned from Chernobyl?  Nothing. Zero. Or Fukushima would not have happened. When Japan is earth quake prone and every day they experience their land shaking under their feet, why did they decide to go for five nuclear installations in the country?

Because, their scientists, experts and politicians must have gone over board saying, ohh, nothing can happen and nothing will happen because we are capable of handling all emergencies.

And when the time came to prove their abilities... read what exactly happened. You can see from the minute by minute account, everyone shat in their pants. And in the panic, no one could take right decisions.

Read the first hand minute by minute account.

And then think. Rationally and logically. Forget about what the locals are saying and what the politicians are saying. This is no politics. This is talking of human life and safety. This is talking about disaster management. Answer these questions in sincerity.

Is India government more capable than Japanese government? Is our nuclear fraternity and operators more competent than Japanese?

Stop insulting civil society.

VOTE BANK POLITICS AT ITS BEST

Dear Friends,

You all must have read and watched this news in the media. It is outrageous to see the politicians showing their arrogance towards people of the society. In this case a college girl who captured a video just to warn all,  that "Chatpata" you have on the roadside  may not be as healthy as you think and so WATCH OUT!.

What did the girl do wrong who was humiliated and insulted publicly by Raj Purohit?
It was conveyed with best of intentions with civic sense.

What was wrong in it for Raj Purohit, BJP city chief to take an offense?

This was totally and completely VOTE BANK POLITICS at it's best.

Imagine, a party of National status has a city Chief who cares more for vote bank politics. Who cares more for illegal vendors using foot paths, and not for what is destroying this city?

His public speech shown on all national TV channels was not only outrageous against the college girl but it crossed all decencies of the civil society.

Imagine, Raj Purohit, the BJP City Chief is not bothered about this city facing serious issues like scarcity of drinking water, electricity shortage. Tons of garbage on the roads creating health issues because of  which drainage lines, water Nallahs getting blocked and  completely chocked that created 26 July monsoon floods and hundreds of Mumbaites lost lives.

He is not bothered about the stinking, rotten garbage at every place that is posing serious health issues like Malaria, Chickengunia, Jaundice, Cholera.

The City Chief of BJP is not concerned with all these serious issues being faced by this city mainly because illegal settlements, and illegal hawkers are the vote banks they create and protect. This illegal activities in Mumbai is the root cause of all corrupt practices where
all governing authorities, officers, politicians are involved in the loot and destroying this city.

If a civil society member raises an issue about an unhealthy act, it becomes a major issue for BJP City Chief Raj Purohit? And he has the arrogance to do character assassination of the young girl publicly? Who is he trying to please? His vote Bank?

YES! politicians like Raj Purohit of BJP or Digvijay Singh of Congress or Ministers of NCP simply want to create their vote banks. For them You and Me are of no concern because you and me do not  fill their pockets. To stay in power and keep looting this country is the only agenda of some who have entered politics.

And that is why Civil Society MUST DEMAND these unsocial elements be thrown out from political arena immediately and there should be no place given for such self serving self centered  people who are not only corrupt but display arrogance towards civil society.

We the civil society must come out in millions to support Anna Hazare and his movement against corruption and corrupt politicians to cleanse this corrupt political system if our elected government has failed or supporting directly or indirectly these criminal corrupt elements.

Raj Purohit, BJP city chief who has offended the sentiments of the Civil Society, civil society demands...

First...Raj Purohit must apologize to civil society publicly and BJP sacks Raj Purohit immediately.

Stop insulting civil society.

PS. Forward this article to all your contacts if you do not wish to be humiliated and insulted next for making civil society aware about wrong things. You must support the young collegian who braved this to expose to alert you and me as citizen's reporter. Today, she needs your support.

The Civil Society must engage in Reforms.

Now it is your turn to talk: The Civil Society.

Because you and me must be a part of this process.
Well, the bill is being drafted, discussed and debated by ten member committee who are all
experts and thinking intellectuals. Civil society members with legal expertise are involved and engaged with legal hawks in discussions.

It surely is no small task to frame laws for anyone and it indeed is an involved exercise that requires deep understanding of legal aspects and vision.

But the job has to be done and it is time that it is done to plug all the loop holes deliberately left for easy escape for all the corrupt minds.

Civil society must be involved now. That is YOU and ME.

We know by now, our politicians will never draft a bill that will meet our expectations simply because, had they been sincere and honest, with national interest at heart, in the last sixty years, we would have had effective laws in place and we would not have seen Boffors, Telgi scam, 2G scam, Adarsha scam, CWG scam, Hasan Ali fraud and many more.
That is why, we need to support Anna Hazare and his movement against corruption, misrule, poor governance and criminalization of politics.

Express yourself NOW...  what the civil society expects from the experts on the committee.

How to catch the criminals of this corrupt practices in the society who have been looting this country for long and going unpunished.

We want every corrupt person to be caught, punished and thrown behind the bars. The money and properties recovered and set an example for others not to ever even think of indulging in this national loot.

It must be treated like anti national activity and the severest of sever punishment must be given to reflect this sentiment.

All thinking people express your idea about the laws you want. You will be satisfied with.

That you feel, YES, Finally, Justice is being done and done in time.
