This is for those pseudo Secular phony mindsets.

Attention Intellectual mafia brigade.
Learn Your history first.

This piece of the history about India before British conquered India, every Indian must know and specially those Indian intellectuals, and pseudo Secularists must who are making a big issue about "Guru Utsav" very much the Indian term against "Teacher´s Day"

To understand the perspective let us turn the pages of history and go back to 2nd February 1835.

Lord Macaulay´s address to the British parliament on 2nd Feb 1835

He says in his address....

" I have traveled across the length and breadth of India and I have not seen one person who is a Beggar... who is a thief. Such wealth I have seen in this country. Such high moral values, people of such caliber, I do not think we would ever conquer this country.... Unless, we break the very backbone of this nation which is her spiritual and cultural heritage

And therefore, I propose that we replace her old and ancient eduction system, her culture, for if this Indian think that ... all that is foreign and English is good and better than their own, they will lose their self esteem, their native culture and they will become what we want... a truly decimated nation."

Who was Lord Macaulay?

Thomas Babington Macaulay, was a British historian and a politician.

""He played a major role in introducing English and western concepts to education in India""

" He supported the replacement of Persian by English as the official language, the use of English as the medium of instruction in all schools, and the training of English-speaking Indians as teachers"".

""In his Minute on Indian Education of February 1835, he asserted,

"It is, I believe, no exaggeration to say that all the historical information which has been collected from all the books written in the Sanskrit language is less valuable than what may be found in the most paltry abridgement used at preparatory schools in England".

From this little information from our history that goes back to 1835, one with some intelligence and head over shoulder should understand clearly,  how British Rulers were trying to erase, and systematically destroy our cultural heritage, our very own education system which parted education in Sanskrit medium.

This however does not mean, we should follow Sanskrit language as a medium of education.

But, we need not try and erase our glorious past. Our past must be our pride for India, which was famously known then as Hindustan was leading in may areas of development and progress and on top was our Educational institutions.

When this following little information You will read about our history, You as an Indian will feel proud about our past... You will feel proud for being Indian.

Nalanda University which was one of the oldest ancient higher-learning institutions.

Originally the university was established in the 5th century AD by Gupta Kings.
Nalanda University was one of the world's first residential universities, as it had dormitories for students.

It was also one of the most famous universities. In its heyday it accommodated over 10,000 students and 2,000 teachers. The university was considered an architectural masterpiece, and was marked by a lofty wall and one gate. Nalanda had eight separate compounds and ten temples, along with many meditation halls and classrooms. On the grounds were lakes and parks. The library was located in a nine-storied building where meticulous copies of texts were produced.

The Tang Dynasty Chinese pilgrim and scholar Xuanzang studied, taught and spent nearly 15 years at Nalanda University.

He left detailed accounts of the university in the 7th century. Yijing also left information about kingdoms lying on the route between China and the Nālandā university. He was responsible for the translation of a large number of Buddhist scriptures from Sanskrit into Chinese.

This was our glorious past in educational field. Those English speaking "Sir" and "Madam" need to get out of their British mindset and start appreciating our own heritage, our historical past and our culture. We had a far far brilliant educational, cultural and commercial past than many other countries in the world.

This man Lord Macaulay actually acknowledged Indian value system, caliber, culture, and educational system as the best in the world at that time than Europe and other countries and he then accordingly offered his cunning advice to British parliament.. and that was...

Change their mindset. Impose English. corrupt their culture, values and thinking

And we can see today, they did succeed in their mission. Words like Guru, Sanskrit, Rama, Krishna, Bhagvat Geeta, Ramayana Mahabharata are all communal words and is communal thinking for some pseudo secular people.

And  Guru Utshav for Teacher´s Day is communal wordings? What a shame?
